Istinye University: A Green Campus with Modern Landscape and Smart Irrigation Systems

Istinye University offers a nature-integrated educational environment with a vast 23,000 m² landscaped area. The project includes drainage systems, automated irrigation, roll-on turf installation, and tree and shrub planting. To ensure a rapid natural adaptation and a well-established green landscape, large trees and fully developed shrubs were carefully selected.

Natural and Aesthetic Planting Design

To create a mature, established greenery from day one, imported plant species were predominantly used. Large trees and well-developed shrubs were chosen to make the area look naturally lush, as if it had existed for decades.

• Bonsai Podocarpus was selected as the signature solitary tree species.
• Evergreen plants were preferred, ensuring a lush, green environment throughout all seasons.
• In steep areas, Geogrit reinforcement was implemented to prevent soil erosion, and groundcover plants were added for extra stability.

These selections ensured long-term sustainability and a visually enriched modern university landscape.

Smart and Fully Automated Irrigation System

The project features a fully automated, remote-controlled irrigation system with the following innovative functions:
✅ Bluetooth-enabled control system allows remote access,
✅ A mobile app enables easy intervention and system adjustments,
✅ Rain sensors automatically pause irrigation during rainy weather,
✅ The system reactivates itself when the soil requires moisture, preventing water waste.

This cutting-edge technology has resulted in efficient water management, reduced maintenance costs, and a sustainable green space.

Fast and Efficient Project Completion

The entire Istinye University landscape project was successfully delivered within just 2 months. Infrastructure integration, drainage systems, and smart irrigation technology were seamlessly executed to create an efficient and sustainable landscape.
