Bursa Hüdavendigar Urban Park: Transforming a Chemical Pond into a Biophilic Pond
Our project in Bursa’s Hüdavendigar Urban Park is a remarkable step forward in blending nature with urban spaces. By transforming a chemical pond into a biophilic pond, we eliminated harmful chemicals from this significant public space, creating a cleaner and more natural environment for the people of Bursa to enjoy.
The newly created 4,000-square-meter biophilic pond has become a centerpiece of the park, known for its natural beauty and eco-friendly design. Unlike traditional chemical systems, the biophilic pond maintains its balance naturally, significantly reducing maintenance costs for the municipality. Its design not only enhances the park’s aesthetic appeal but also promotes environmental sustainability and public health.
The plants surrounding the pond contribute to its natural filtration process, providing visitors with a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. Unlike chemical ponds, the biophilic pond fosters an ecosystem that supports local flora and fauna, enriching biodiversity in the area. This transformation offers the people of Bursa a safe, natural, and peaceful environment where they can connect with nature.
The project at Hüdavendigar Urban Park showcases the power of integrating nature and innovative landscaping solutions. This biophilic pond serves as a sustainable model for other projects, highlighting the importance of protecting the environment while benefiting communities. It’s a true success story that continues to inspire efforts to preserve and enhance urban green spaces.
